Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, products, and services offered by Recommend.cc ("Recommend.cc," "we," "us," or "our"), including recommend.cc and related applications (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

These Terms are provided for general informational use during early access and may be updated as the product matures. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date on this page.

The Services

Recommend.cc helps businesses improve how they appear in AI assistants and AI-powered search (including AEO, GEO, and SEO work) and, on applicable plans, publish structured business data via protocols such as MCP (Model Context Protocol). Features, plans, and availability may change during early access.

We do not control third-party AI assistants, search engines, or platforms. We cannot guarantee that any assistant will recommend your business, cite your content, or consume your live data feed. Results depend on factors outside our control, including how those systems rank and retrieve information.

Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate information when you contact us, sign up, or use the Services. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access credentials confidential. You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use paid Services.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

Paid plans (such as AI Visibility and Connected) are offered on a monthly or yearly basis as described on our pricing page or in a written order. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, plans are prepaid for the selected term and may be cancelled anytime; cancellation stops future billing and ongoing updates, reports, or live data sync according to the plan, but work already published may remain available.

Prices may change with notice for subsequent billing periods. Early-access or founding-member pricing may be limited in time or quantity.

Your content and business information

You retain ownership of the business information, branding, and other content you provide ("Customer Content"). You grant Recommend.cc a non-exclusive license to host, process, transform, and publish Customer Content as needed to provide the Services — including building AI-readable profiles, structured data, and MCP endpoints, and performing optimization and reporting.

You represent that you have the rights to provide Customer Content and that it is accurate and lawful. You are responsible for keeping hours, offers, availability, and other facts up to date when you use live-update features.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for unlawful, deceptive, or harmful purposes
• Submit false, infringing, or misleading business information
• Attempt to disrupt, probe, or reverse engineer the Services except as allowed by law
• Resell or misuse the Services in a way that violates these Terms or applicable law

Intellectual property

The Services, including software, design, branding, and documentation (excluding Customer Content), are owned by Recommend.cc or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or materials except as needed to use the Services.

Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY PARTICULAR AI ASSISTANT WILL RECOMMEND OR CITE YOUR BUSINESS.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECOMMEND.CC AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Recommend.cc against claims, damages, and expenses arising from your Customer Content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity) will survive termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless a different jurisdiction is required by mandatory consumer law where you live. Courts in Cook County, Illinois will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to applicable consumer protections.
